He always makes me laugh...
Springtime...
The girls are now old enough to actually play outside with Jayden! Well, he plays and they eat grass and leaves.
This is Jocelyn...aka Joci. We affectionately call her the bucking bronco. She is a wild little thing and plows down everything in her way. Today is her birthday...Happy Birthday sweet girl!
Here is Gabrielle, who is ALWAYS called Gabbie at our house. She is a sensitive and affectionate girl. She's not quite sure about all this outside stuff but she's getting used to it. Happy Birthday Gabbie-girl!
Girlie Girl
Food
She finished her first canister of rice cereal! Jayden never finished a single serving of rice cereal much less an entire thing of it! Our girl likes to eat...
After several days of cereal we decided to give Journey-girl a little prunes to help out in the digestion area. She liked those too! Next we will be trying sweet potatoes. LaJuan and I have made a deal...I do the baby laundry and she'll make Journey's baby food! She doesn't like to do laundry (which happens to be a load a day of baby stuff) and loved making the twins baby food. Now, I don't mind the laundry but know I probably wouldn't be great a putting forth the effort to make the food. Perfect solution for both of us!
Adapts to Change
Journey recently started rolling over from her stomach to her back. I dreaded the transition of "teaching" her to sleep on her back since she's been on her stomach since the beginning. Well, much to my surprise she didn't put up a fight at all! She is now officially a sleep sack wearing, thumb sucking, back sleeper. Oh, and she has now begun to roll from back to tummy.
Love this Guy!!!
I just felt the need to give a shout-out to my amazing husband. I once told him (when we were dating) that he was the best man I knew. After almost four years of being married to him the truth of that is more real than ever. He balances so many things... and although not perfect, he does an incredible job. He is honest, trustworthy, caring, loving and affectionate. One of the best things is that he is willing to learn and grow. He wants to love us well while serving and leading our family. I love him for that.

Strawberry Pickin'
Here is a picture of Demetrius and Jayden by the sign, which reads...no eating before paying. Well, what you cannot see is Jayden's face and hands covered in strawberry juice. Sorry but you just can't tell a little boy that he can't eat-n-pick!

Quirks and all...
Not only is he enjoying the jenny jump up these days, he is also asking to get in the exersaucer. My thinking was "go ahead and let him" and he'll get over it. So far he's still asking to play in the baby toys. Funny kid...notice he's wearing just ONE sock (and his knees are touching the bottom of the saucer)!
Time for Cereal!
We tried rice cereal for the first time today and Journey did great! Wow, I was really hoping for a different experience than we had with Mr. Jayden and sure enough....she liked it! She has started waking up at night this past week and we think maybe she is just hungry and ready for food. She'll be 5 months on the 20th so I guess it is about time. It's hard to believe we are already at this stage.
At her 4mth checkup she was a whopping 17.5 lbs!!! That is well above the 100 percentile. Her length was also above 100 percentile but I can't remember her length (they gave it in cm).
