Cars...cars...cars

Being a sweet big brother...pushing Journey in the car that Gran (Shane's mom) brought down from Georgia.

Um...I'm tired now. I think I'll hitch a ride home.

Balancing act...bball shirt of course.

Red buggy car show. I know people think we run an illegal daycare. Nope, no one getting paid $100/wk per kid here.

Red buggy car races. On your marks...get set...GO!

Things...

This is what we do everyday. Everyday. We draw a million basketballs on the driveway and then the rain washes them away. Then, we do it again the next day.

Jayden sitting in the chalk mural. Notice all of the dangerous chemicals in the background?

Jayden playing basketball on the sidewalk. He has started stealing my headbands and wearing them like sweatbands.

So, we spent $2 and bought a real sweatband. He thinks anyone with a sweatband is Lebron James. He goes around saying BronJames (one word). Maybe he'll be the next Lebron?

Last but not least...I am doing a half marathon with my bestie Portia. It's in Virginia Beach September 6th. So, I decided to take a pre-training picture for the fun of it! Training starts on Monday...wish me luck!

Paci...the toddler year.

A Tribute to Paci...the first year.

We Pulled the Plug...the Paci that is.

Today was the big day. When Jayden got up this morning I asked Demetrius, "so, when are we going to take paci (or "pass") as we call it. In an unusual act of spontaneity Demetrius says, "right now." Yesterday we talked about how we needed to get rid of it because Jayden can't say certain sounds because he does the famous "talk around" the paci. He's gotten pretty good at it but he can't say words that start with "W". We are also hoping that he won't be so orally satisfied and might eat more.

It hasn't been too bad today but he is definitely mourning the loss of his beloved friend. To give you an example of how much he loves paci...a few days ago we didn't bring one with us in the car and he said "paciiiii" 90 times. We counted. And today on the way home from the YMCA (which is like a 5 minute drive) he said it 37 times. I counted. So, as I type I can hear him crying in his room...

sad baby-paci=sad mommy and daddy.

One Saturday Morning

It's rare that we go out to eat...even at chickfila. But, this Saturday we decided to have a small family outing. Lots of fun...the simple things people!

Jayden copying Journey's new "funny face." See her newest face below!

backyard fun

Three of the four amigos.

Jayden loves buckets right now...preferably the pink one!

She loves the water...

Joci and Journey were the only ones that wanted to be in the pool.

Gabbie always on the outside looking in...

Note Gabbie in the far distance. And it is a rare occasion I get both of my kids in one picture. Jayden is anti-camera right now too, which explains why I get so few pictures of him looking at the camera. Hopefully it's a stage and it'll pass...

Journey Girl

Journey in our bed after one of her long sleepless nights while teething. Thankfully she is back to her normal sleeping little self!

Much drool...

Playing out back with the twin girls. She thinks she's one of them and she's basically their same size even though they are twice her age!

Excited about her new halter dress from her Auntie!

Cell Phone Troubles

So, I was wondering if any of our readers has a spare AT&T compatible cell phone they are not using/don't need anymore? As many of you know, I have the worst-ever luck with cell phones. I've been through too many in the past few months (some my fault, some not :) Well, the latest one I've only had for a month and apparently the one second Journey had it in her mouth caused "water damage."

I know I need insurance but for now...I just need something so I can stay connected. So, if anyone has a spare that they don't need back please let me know! Thanks a bunch.

It's Summertime and the Livin' is Easy

I'm cruisin' the block looking for some ladies (or just sitting in the driveway).

I see you checking me out.

Um...are you a teenager?

More Randomness...

1. Could she have any more rolls on her arms? 2. Could her face squish up any more when she smiles?
Riding along in my automobile. When did she grow big enough for this?

Another day...another stand off. This would be dinner-time yesterday. We win some, we lose some. All in a day's work.

Had to put this bonnet on Journey before church on Sunday. She looked adorable of course but Auntie says these things look like she belongs on the show "17 Kids and Counting." Too funny.

Journey girl with her RTS counterpart "Henry" who was born just one day before her. Zach and Ellen are his parents and Zach is in the counseling program with Demetrius and Ellen teaches kids with Austism.
